I graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester with a degree in Graphics Design in 1996. I have since worked for Birmingham Libraries all  my working life, but in recent years returned to my love of painting . I take inspiration from light and shade , which allows me to use expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours in my work. I especially enjoy painting coastal scenes and local landscapes. I have exhibited at the Purple Gallery in Bournville and a number of times at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists at their ‘Friends Exhibition’ .
